WHEN THE LORD REMEMBERS
“But God remembered Noah and all the beasts and all the cattle that were with him in the ark; and God caused a wind to pass over the earth, and the water subsided.” Genesis 8:1 NASB1995
HAPPY DAY TO YOU: Scriptures that talk of God remembering a person make me wonder if God ever forgets a person. There are many times it is recorded that God remembered. While not wanting to go into the Hebrew word for remember, I will go into the context of the word ‘remember’ as used in the Bible.

When God remembers, it is in the context of Him seeing the time He set for an occurrence is up and He arises to put things in action to fulfil a promise or send relief from a difficulty. Noah and all the creatures with him were to live in the ark for forty days and forty nights when He would send rain on earth until the whole earth was subdued under water. You can imagine how uncomfortable it would be for so many creatures to be constrained in an ark no matter how big. The water prevailed for 140 days and on that day, God called the matter to mind and sent a wind that started drying the water.

Have you been under any form of oppression or discomfort for some time? Have you been the object of people’s mockery for so long and God seems to have forgotten you? He has not for He says even if a mother forgets her sucking baby, He will not forget you. Today, your time of oppression is over and the process of relief is set in motion by God. No matter how dark things look, or how deep it has been buried, or how entangled it is, relief starts today. Begin to feel relief from inside you. See your relief and welcome it. God is at work. Do a little more personal study and think over this topic to understand and take it in more. May The Holy Spirit enlighten you more.
