KEEP AWARE OF BOUNDARIES
📖
“Bless the Lord, O my soul! O Lord my God, You are very great; You are clothed with splendor and majesty, The mountains rose; the valleys sank down To the place which You established for them. You set a boundary that they may not pass over, So that they will not return to cover the earth.” Psalms 104:1, 8-9 NASB1995

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: We want to briefly look at boundaries today as our spiritual exercise. I set my boundaries concerning discussions I could entertain. Many people want to hear your stories, especially the ones that disturb your mind. I chose to cut such discussions and avoid talking with such people not out of bitterness but to maintain my peace of mind. God sets boundaries from creation and expects us to do the same in every area of our lives.
🫢
Just as you set it for others, you must set it for yourself. The first and principal place you need to set boundaries for yourself is in your THOUGHTS. I notice that my thoughts can roam far and they have determining effects on my state of mind, actions and quality of life. There is nothing new under heaven but I need to set boundaries on my thoughts to get the good in each situation.
💼
Today, you will practice being aware of thoughts that enter your mind and set a boundary to how far they can go and how long you can entertain them. Check Philippians 4:8 for the check list of thoughts you can allow.
🛐
I pray that God will grant you the grace to know and set healthy boundaries for yourself in your thinking.
