Which Way Forward

WHICH WAY FORWARD?
📖
“Listen, my dear friends! God chose the poor people of this world to be rich in faith and to possess the kingdom which he promised to those who love him.”
James 2:5 GNT
HAPPY DAY TO YOU: A friend shared a post of the horrible shooting and kidnapping attack during the Easter Sunday service in two churches in Kaduna. He asked the question ‘which way forward when the sanctuary we believe is for protection no longer protects and bandits don’t fear to enter it again?’.
🤔
I connect with the question and I sympathize with the families of people who had been killed while in the house of God and those killed for refusing to deny their faith in Christ. But truly, which way forward? The majority of the people affected by these criminal acts are poor people who do not have the financial means or connection to bail themselves out. What can they do?
🤔
The rich have their wealth as their ‘protection and stronghold’ proverbs 18:11, but the poor have been given their faith as their wealth and defense. The poor therefore have to labour to understand and grow their faith to be their defense in a world turning wicked. What money cannot do, faith can do. The poor can hear of all the defense inventions of the world that he has no money to purchase but he has faith which he can activate to shield him better than the money. Faith is an internal arsenal that the owner carries around while wealth is an outside arsenal stored away from the owner.
🤔
In conclusion, the way forward for the poor is to build an internal arsenal of faith that is free but very effective and leave the struggle for material possessions for the rich.
🛐
I pray that your eyes will open to appreciate the wealth that faith is so you will spend your energy to get it.

The people being massacred in churches, to whatever level, believed in their faith – that’s why they didn’t look to the arm of flesh, but to the house of the Lord. They already spent their “energy getting faith”. What we should pray for them for, & they pray for themselves, is that their faith will not fail them; that God teach them how to navigate in this season.
Amen. May our gait not fail us in jesus name. You are correct. Bless you b
