THE TWO SIDES TO FAITH 1

📖

“All the presidents of the kingdom, the prefects, and the satraps, and the officials and governors, have consulted together that the king establish a statute, and to make a strong decree, that whoever shall ask a petition of any god or man for thirty days, except from you, O king, he shall be thrown into the den of lions. And when he had learned that the document was signed, Daniel went to his house. And his windows were open in his upper room toward Jerusalem; and he kneeled on his knees three times a day and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did before. Daniel‬ ‭6‬:‭7‬, ‭10‬ ‭AFV‬‬

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: There are two sides to faith. There is the living faith meaning the faith that forms a person’s lifestyle and faith for miracles. We shall talk about the first side today.

Daniel had faith that God exists and formed a lifestyle that shows his belief in His existence. He knew and understood God and what He could do and what He wanted.  He prayed three times a day to God with His windows wide open. Psalm 55:17. The trial of his living faith came when the king decreed that anyone who prayed to another god except his statute would be killed. Daniel still prayed to his God three times a day with his windows opened as he used to do. This landed him in the lion’s den according to the king’s decree but God delivered him.

🤔

What is your living faith? Living faith is best anchored on scripture. Daniel anchored his living faith on Psalm 55:17.  A woman is always praising God no matter what. She anchored her faith on ‘in all things give thanks and rejoice always.’ In season and out of season, she will praise God and while others in the same situation are troubled and worried, she stands firm and calm until the storm passes.

🤔

To anchor your living faith on God, you must believe that He exists and He rewards those who seek Him. I chose to anchor my living faith in scripture the day I read “See now that I, even I am He, and there is no god besides Me. I kill, and I make alive; I wound and I heal. Neither is there any that can deliver out of My hand,” ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭32‬:‭39‬ ‭AFV‬‬.  God is all in all and there is none beside Him. I also read “The Lord makes poor and makes rich; He brings low and lifts up.” ‭‭I Samuel‬ ‭2‬:‭7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬. These two scriptures with a few others I compiled made me to plead with God for mercy as my living faith. I discovered that there is mercy with God in any condition.

🤔

What is your living faith? On what do you anchor it? What is your lifestyle like? What and where does it promise to lead you? Think about this today and see if your living faith can hold you as you weather the storms of life.

🛐

I pray that anchored in the truth of scriptures, your faith will stand in times of trial and you will not lose your grip on God in Jesus name.
