IN HIM

“For in Him we live and move and exist [that is, in Him we actually have our being], as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His children.’” Acts 17:28 AMP

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: I was sharing fellowship with a sister yesterday morning on how to appropriate scriptures to work in our lives. I narrated an experience I had some years back with arthritis when I was in England. It was so bad that if I had agreed, I would have needed some medical procedure but I chose to look unto God and His word. I chose the scripture we are considering today. I personalised it to ‘In Him I live and move and have my being.’ Each time I had to walk during the school run I had to do at that time with my grandchildren, it was tough but I kept ‘in Him I move and live and have my being’ in my mouth speaking it to myself.

After about twenty steps, the pain would go away and I would walk the half mile I had to do to their school. As of today, I don’t know how the arthritis was healed but I don’t have the pain anymore.

The interesting part of the discussion of the same scripture was that she expanded it to touch specific parts of her life and opened our imagination to living, moving and being in Christ. She looked at us hidden in Christ like in a house. There are no diseases or lack or hatred in Christ. Only peace, joy, light exist there. So we must be conscious of this state and live in the spirit of Christ.

The word has to be in one’s mouth always so that it enters the heart that the body may do it. Like medicine that must enter the mouth and blood stream to work, the word of God must enter the heart and mind to do what it is supposed to do. Once it enters your heart, it will guide you to how to obey it for the desired result to happen. The word that you hold concerning any issue of your life must be constant in your mouth. I leave you to practice this and see the result as it becomes your lifestyle.
