YOU ARE RICH. GROW YOUR WEALTH

📖

“Listen, my dear brothers and sisters: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him?” James 2:5 NIV

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: I heard it clearly and I was wondering if someone was downstairs talking as no one was in the house with me. The voice said ‘you are rich but grow your wealth.’ For days, I was wondering who spoke to me and where the wealth was when I was struggling to feed my children. Later, the voice came again and said that I am poor in worldly wealth but rich in faith that I needed to grow. Then James 2:5 dropped in my spirit and I chose to look at it.

It came back to me and the Lord expanded it in my spirit. He said “Bose, when something challenging happens to you, where do you first turn to in your first thoughts?” I said “God.” The rich man of the world thinks about how money can solve the problem first. Unfortunately for the poor man, he does not labour to grow his faith, rather he too keeps laboring and struggling to grow worldly wealth like the rich man of the world.

By his faith, the poor have peace of God that passes all understanding, joy and righteousness. Through faith, the poor man has all that the rich man has and much more. Contentment is one virtue that a poor man has that eludes the rich of the world. I remember the son of a poor man who wanted to go and study for his Masters degree abroad. The poor mother said ‘God will make a way’ and kept encouraging him. He passed his first degree with a first class and he went online to look for scholarship offers from the country of his choice. With his prayers and the mother’s as well, he got admission to one of the best universities in his discipline with an all expenses paid scholarship. His friends attended the same university on their fathers sponsorship.

I leave you with the prayer that the Holy Spirit will teach you to grow your faith whether you are poor or rich for faith is your real wealth.
