So faith comes from hearing [what is told], and what is heard comes by the [preaching of the] message concerning Christ. Romans 10:17 AMP

HAPPY DAY TO YOU; This definition of faith from the Bible is very explicit. The Bible is talking here about the faith of Christ. But really, faith in anything comes by hearing what is said about that thing. In the Acts of Apostles, a group of believers did not hear about the Holy Spirit so they were only baptized with the baptism of John into repentance. Paul told them about the Holy Spirit and they believed and were baptized in the Holy Spirit. Acts 19:17

The fact is whatever message you hear gives you faith or fear. In Joshua 2:10-11. Rahab told the spies from Israel that what they heard that God did to the Egyptians took their courage away and they became fear filled. While in Mark 10:46-52, blind Bartimaeus heard about Jesus and it welled up faith in him to cry for mercy from Jesus in spite of the crowd. Jesus called him and asked what he wanted. He wanted to see he said and Jesus restored his sight telling him that his faith healed him. His faith brought his sight from the invisible to the visible realm.

What do you hear about your condition in life? Word of faith or word of fear? Some knowledge breed fear because knowledge is based on seen facts while faith is based on unseen facts. Tomorrow, we shall continue on how to get unseen facts on which we can base our faith. Faith without an appropriate message will be misplaced.
