BURIED TO RISE

“Take a guard,” Pilate answered. “Go, make the tomb as secure as you know how.” So they went and made the tomb secure by putting a seal on the stone and posting the guard. Matthew 27:65-66 NIV

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: Friends and followers of Jesus were sad from Good Friday through to Easter Sunday because they did not understand what Jesus had been telling them that He would die and rise up on the third day.

The teachers of the law believed it could happen that His Apostles would come and steal His body and claimed that He had risen so they made his grave as secure as they could. They never knew God permitted His death and they could not stop Him from resurrecting for the glory of God and freedom of mankind.

This is the comfort that God keeps for his children. The enemy will think he has killed your destiny and buried it and sealed it securely so you can no longer escape. God permits Good Friday, when you were ‘killed’, buried and securely locked up from Friday through Saturday but thank God for Sunday the resurrection day when you are revived with new power by the Spirit of God.

On your resurrection day, your light will shine brighter than before and the glory of God will announce you. In whatever distress you are now, keep the hope of resurrection alive in you and keep rejoicing instead of struggling. Tell every challenge that there is a resurrection day when you will mock your mockers. The same power that raised Jesus from the grave will raise you from your grave as well.

As you spend this Saturday before Easter Sunday with yourself, I pray that the hope of resurrection will lift you up from despair in Jesus name. Your Easter will come and people will rejoice with you in Jesus name
