“You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.” ‭‭Acts‬ ‭10‬:‭38‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: It takes ME to make the world good. If every ME that claims to be a Christian and has the indwelling of the Holy Spirit would act like Jesus, imagine how good the world would be. Jesus went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil. The same Holy Spirit that was in Jesus is with each believer now. What do you do with the Holy Spirit in you?

We are to overcome evil with good. “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭21‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬. This shows that evil will keep happening but I am to overcome evil with good wherever I am.

I have a little testimony of good overcoming evil. I once employed a house keeper who everyone around me felt was evil and I should let her go. The Holy Spirit however told me to love and be good to her. He empowered me to do so for about two months after which I suggested she should go and learn a trade which I would pay for and equip her when she concluded but I won’t pay her any salary.  She happily agreed in my presence but she told her agent she was not happy with the plan.

The day she was leaving, she went into my room and took my phone from my bag. In the night, I noticed the absence of the phone and called her. I greeted her warmly as usual and asked her if I did her any evil to which she said not at all. I asked her why she took my phone when leaving. She first denied then she confessed and apologised and arranged to get the phone to me. The good I always did to her overcame the evil in her. The Lord moved her from my house but the good I did to her did not leave her memory.

I pray that the Holy Spirit will touch and open your heart to be fearless and do good wherever you are in Jesus name.
