SALVATION THROUGH MERCY
📖
But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, … so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life. Titus 3:4-7 NIV

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: The fundamental work of mercy is the salvation of mankind from eternal separation from God. In Genesis chapter 3, Adam and Eve disobeyed God and gained their independence from Him by obeying the serpent. They chose eternal death over eternal life with God. God in His mercy blocked their way to the tree of Life so that man will not live eternally with the body of death.

Without mercy that made God to shut the gate of Eden against Adam and Eve, they would have eaten the tree of Life with a corrupted body and man would have been living perpetually in pain. Imagine a disease torn body that refuses to die or an aged weak person that cannot die. Mercy frees the soul from a weak or nonfunctional body through the death of that body.

God’s mercy however, made provision for Jesus who is the Life to come as man and save man from death of the soul. If you have asked Jesus to save you and your soul is renewed by the word of salvation, then you need to thank God always. You also need to pray for those who are yet to accept Christ as their saviour so they will not lose their soul to live with the devil eternally. Jesus is the Love and kindness of God that saved humanity from eternal destruction not because of man’s goodness but because of the Mercy of God.

I leave you today to see death as an act of God’s mercy and salvation of man’s soul from the final death through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ as an act of mercy that we should always be grateful for.

I pay today that the word of Christ will lead men to become born again and live for Jesus Christ. Thank You God for the mercy that save us not because of our righteousness but by Your mercy in Jesus name.
