MERCY COMPANION

“Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” Hebrews 4:16 NIV

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: Mercy has a companion with which it moves together. Wherever you find one, the other will be present. It is called GRACE. Grace in the Bible is defined as the unmerited, undeserved favor and loving-kindness of God toward humanity. And to refresh our minds, Mercy is God’s compassionate, undeserved kindness that withholds punishment (the “not getting what we deserve” aspect) and relieves suffering, Grace and mercy are acts of God’s loving kindness to humanity in general and to individuals at various needful times.

Mercy and grace are the twin nature of God that makes a person succeed in life and protects us from destruction. Man cannot boast of anything except the grace and mercy of God. Man’s effort without mercy and grace is fruitless.

Blind Bartimaeus regained his sight when he cried to Jesus for mercy. “When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”” Mark 10:47 NIV. Mercy will take you beyond human effort. See God’s throne of grace today and obtain mercy that helps all your infirmities.

I pray that all pride and ego that can stop you from asking God for grace and mercy will be rooted out of you today so your fruitless efforts will cease in Jesus name.
