A THING TO REMEMBER

📖

“For who regards you as superior or what sets you apart as special? What do you have that you did not receive [from another]? And if in fact you received it [from God or someone else], why do you boast as if you had not received it [but had gained it by yourself]?” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭4‬:‭7‬ ‭AMP‬‬

🤔

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: Thank God for the social media that gives headlines and details of things happening in the world. For someone like me who reads the headlines most of the time, I see how people boast at different degrees of who they are and what they could do to others. They boast and instil fear in others as if they hold the key to their lives. Once we believe that we have arrived, we look down on those less privileged than us. What a pity for mankind?

🤔

My dear friend, remember that you have nothing except that it was given to you by God and by others. That being the case, whatever your position, remember that you did not make yourself. God made you and all things, gave you the wisdom to gather all that you have and He holds the key to you keeping them. Most of all, He holds the key to your life. You make pronouncements that put others in fear forgetting that your own very life is a gift from God huuum beware. Remember that God can call back His gift with which you are boasting and threatening others in a moment.

I leave to think about this deeply and consider giving others value and worshipping God.

🛐

Today Lord God, we repent of how we have arrogated all authority and powers to ourselves. Forgive us and make us humble. Thank You for the air we breathe and every little thing that makes our lives worth living in Jesus name.
