BEHOLD TO BECOME

“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 3:18 NASB1995

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: When a person is going to act another in a film, he is made to read and watch the person he is going to act several times. The more he looks, the more he acts like the person he is playing. It is the same with our transformation to godliness when we keep looking at the word of God.

When I was in school up until my middle ages, I was very troublesome and impatient. I returned fire for fire to anyone that crossed my path. Then I gave my life to Christ and decided on a marathon project of reading through the Bible monthly for seven months so that I could know and understand God. It was tough but I enjoyed it enough to continue monthly.

I saw a lot of ‘God with human face’ and I laughed a lot. He was happy, angry, loving, He laughed, He expressed and acted His various names and nature as occasions demanded, He invited and enjoyed people coming and reasoning with Him yet He had majesty. He finally manifested as Jesus Christ with flesh and blood.

The effect on me was that my nature was transforming without any effort from me. I was showing more of the nature of God that I was beholding in the Bible and people started noticing some changes in me. Forgiving became easy for me and I was loving peace more than confusion and offences. Although I don’t read the Bible monthly again, the transformation has remained with me.

I leave you to set and keep your gaze on the word of God then watch as you become transformed to His likeness.

I pray that the word of God will have meaning in your life enough to transform you to who He wants you to be in Jesus name.
