GROWING EFFECTIVE FAITH 2
I tell you, even though he will not get up and give you the bread because of friendship, yet because of your shameless audacity he will surely get up and give you as much as you need. Luke 11:8 NIV
HAPPY DAY TO YOU; This story tells the fundamentals of deep faith. A friend came to ask me for a smart phone some time back. I told her that I had no spare one to give out. But she knew I would always have two phones no matter what. She stayed and pleaded the first day, went home and came back the second day and did this for four days. On the fifth day, I transferred the data on my second phone and gave it to her. She was very happy.

What lessons on effective faith can we learn here? First, she knew me very well. She knew I would always have two phones but more importantly, she knew I was kind and generous. She knew that if there was a way to merge the services of the two phones together, I would give her one.

How well and deep do you know God? I found by experience that faith and fear are personal issues between man and God. I’ve had faith for some time now but fear and doubt found their way in from time to time and I doubted if God exists and if He is who He says He is. Things happened that made me doubt His existence or who He is. The depth to which you know God determines the level of resilience you have in asking Him for things and the more sensitive you are to His voice. These are my personal experiences. When His time for the things I did not like were about to happen, He notified me but I kept praying against it instead of dialoguing with Him to tell me how I would cross the river when they happened. He held my hand and walked with me and comforted me. He gave me strength that I never had by myself.
